What life would be like if there were suddenly no alphabet.
Well, think of it this way. You wouldn't be reading this post right here. Probably wouldn't have internet at all. All languages would be gone because there is a form of an alphabet in all of them. Existence would be pretty hard without a language wouldn't it?
There's tribes in Africa that talk with only clicks and sounds, maybe we would all talk like that, write in forms of braille even.There's possibilities but we're so used to writing and talking the way that we are now, with an alphabet, that it's hard to imagine living any other way.
I agree it is very difficult to imagine all of the things that would be gone without the alphabet. It is such an important thing yet we take it for granted.
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to imagine but also I think that there would be communication like we would probably still speak the same way just there would be no written word.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Without the alphabet we would all be horrible. No directions or nothing? Many people are horrible with giving verbal directions so life would suck.
